This product relates to UK sterling money pounds and pence. Its aim is to encourage students to use different skills to find solutions to a two-step problem. Aimed at: Keystage 1/Lower Keystage 2. Ideal for revising adding up coins and to finding how much more money to pay for an item. The worksheets start off with small denominations and then it increases to 50p and £1. There are 60 differentiated worksheets. Worksheet 1 - up to 10p (11 pages) Worksheet 2 - up to 20p (11 pages) Worksheet 3 - up to 30p (12 pages) Worksheet 4 - up to 50p (12 pages) Worksheet 5 - up to £1.00 (14 pages) <strong>Description: </strong> The worksheet is divided into 3 columns. The first column contains the price of the item. The second column shows the coins the customer uses to pay for the item but unfortunately it is not enough. The problem is in two parts: - Add up the total amount of the coins and write it in the blank box. Find out how much the customer is short by, i.e. how much more he/she has to pay and then fill in the box. The space above the box in the third column is for the student to show their workings out. This resource relates to St. George’s Day (23 April). In contains: A Presentation (48 Slides) on St. George. The presentation starts with a welcome to the whole school. It then shows a stain glass window of St George and arrows pointing to the cross and the shield with St. George cross. There are questions and answers throughout the presentation to involve the children. It is divided into sections:- Background to St. George’s life Courage Around the World The Legend Celebrations Reflections It ends with a prayer relating to courage. A detailed Teacher’s notes on assembly referring to each slide Follow-up worksheet There are follow-up activities in the presentation that children can find out about using non-fiction books and the ICT, e.g. find out more about countries that celebrate St. George’s Day. Updated with a newer version containing new pictures and black and white pictures.(April 2019) 56 colour 56 black and white Print and laminate the whole card or you can cut apart the strips and mix them up. Children look at the picture and say what it is. They then unscramble the word in the centre and write it out correctly using phonemes previously taught. Other suggested use: You can cut apart the strips so that you have 56 onset and rime strips. Select the strip you want children to match up and unscramble the cvc words. Children can match up the pictures that rhyme and then unscramble the words and say the cvc words that rhyme. They can record their work in their literacy workbooks. Objectives: To be able to use phonological knowledge to unscramble CVC words To be able to sort pictures that rhyme and match onset and rime words. This resource relates to ANZAC Day on 25 April. Clear and straightforward - Ideal for assemblies or as a standalone lesson. Each slides takes you through what ANZAC day is and what it means, symbols are explained (rosemary, laurel and the poppy), why do we need ceremonies and what a typical ANZAC day ceremony involves, the dawn service and why people march. During the presentation students are asked questions that relate to their personal experiences of celebrations and why the Anzac spirit legacy is still important today. This resource is on New Zealand currency - 10c, 20c, 50c, $1.00 and $2.00 coins Aimed at: Keystage 1/2 The worksheets are in colour and black and white. WITH ANSWER SHEETS Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school stationery. Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost. Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money? Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school stationery cost. Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less does the sharpener cost than the ruler? etc. The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10 cents. Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 30 cents. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price. Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 20 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought. <strong>Additional worksheets: </strong> Drawing coins to match the price tags - students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can. Add up the coins and write the total on the price tag for each object shown. Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent. I have uploaded a set of time-saving worksheets relating to upper and lower case letters of the alphabet. Aimed at: Reception/KS1 Total worksheets: 40 Description of resources: • Set 1 Worksheets – Select the correct initial letters for pictures; • Set 2 Worksheets – Select 6 correct initial letters out of the 8 from the rectangle to write below the pictures ; • Set 3 Worksheets – Select correct initial capital letter from circle to complete each word; • Set 4 Worksheets – Each box contains two pictures beginning with the same initial letters. Students write the initial alphabet letter for the pictures. • Set 5 Worksheets – Fill in the missing letter to complete the word then rewrite the whole word in capital letters. • Set 6 Worksheets – The pictures in each box start with different initial alphabet letters. Students write the initial letters below each picture in their best handwriting to practise mid-zone letters, ascender and descender letters. E.g. if the two pictures are a jug and a table, the student writes the ‘j’ (descender) and ‘t’ (ascender) on the handwriting lines. I have included some completed examples of worksheets.
